Flanders Training Network for Methodology and Statistics (FLAMES) is an inter-university training network rooted in the five Flemish universities: Free University of Brussels, Ghent University, Hasselt University, University of Antwerp, and KU Leuven. This network aims to support doctoral students and young empirical researchers in their pursuit of best-in-class training in methodology and statistics. FLAMES seeks to optimize, intensify, and extend the methodological and statistical training currently offered by Flemish universities and bring existing training to new audiences. It also develops new training modules for complex and advanced statistical methods taught by experts, a series of seminars on qualitative methods, organize a yearly summer school, and deliver specialized workshops.
